Matt, Hi I heard that NetJets has two sides for f/a union and non-union.
if the pilots are picketing does this mean the f/a hired now are training to replace the union f/a. Any info would be greatful.
Thanks

I don't think the pilots are currently picketing...I think that is all over, but I could be wrong. Also, the "two sides" of Net Jets (both union and non-union) have peacefully coexisted for years. They are two totally different programs within one huge corporate entity. Each has different equipment and vastly different schedules and pay scales.
Are you trying to get hired in the hopes of replacing possibly picketing workers? That is not a circumstance I would consider in any industry. "Scabs" are frequently hired, are subjected to ridicule when crossing the picket line, and are let go when the issues are resolved. Why would someone want to be hired under those circumstances---are are you trying to AVOID being hired under those circumstances?
I only wonder since both of your two posts are regarding this issue---or non issue since I do not believe the Net Jet pilots are currently picketing or that there has been any picketing on the part of the flight attendant union. Do you have an agenda you want to share?

There is a topic regarding all this from early June, stating the Net Jet picketing ended late MAY....http://corporateflyer.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=164
It's from Midnight Mike and it states that the picketing seems to have been sucessful since an agreement was reached. I think your information is seriously dated

Hi , this is not about me I have two friends starting training today with NetJet, they are with the non-union side. They are getting the higher pay of $42.500.00 they tell me. Get a pay increase after the 6 months.
Just to let you know, I have flown commerical never would become a "scab". Also flown contract myself.
The freinds starting with NetJet's have lots of questions they have not gotten answered themselves. Concerned for them . The other question they have is if they will have to resign from the airlines they are former
furloughed with. The question they never asked hoping to have that matter slip through the cracks so they have the option to return someday.
Thanks for being concerned and the site on NetJets.
They have three weeks training in Hilton Head, then a week in Savanah,GA.
Have a great day any more info would be great.

Interesting .............. I would think that NetJets would have addressed that question knowing they were hiring former commercial f/a's that have been furloughed. :? :? :?
