Please forgive if this is posted elsewhere. I wanted to share the information on a great new flight attendant movie called "The Aviary." It was written/produced by a flight attendant - they finally got it right.

Enjoy!

Just ordered it - thanks for the information! I can't believe I hadn't heard of this movie before. I can't wait to watch it.
I am new to the site and this is just the kind of information I was hoping to find here :D

Yeah, spam. The same types of comments can be read all over the internet:
The movie is great.
Thanks for telling me.
Yippee, yippee, blah, blah!

Tell me about, I have banned several posters from another site I moderate at as well...its always the same crap:
1) One person posts saying how faaaabulous this movie is.
2) The the first post is backed by someone who just joined up...probably same dude/chick who started the damn thread in the first place.
And then this is repeated all over the internet...its pathetic...I bet the movie is just as pathetic as well if they need to be so CHEAP and SPAM sites all over the WWW ... for 'advertising'.
:x :x :x :x
P.S. For the record the CRITICS i.e. actual F/A's think the movie is crap!

Do you think that you can delete this thread, this buy the F/A movie crap is starting to get annoying. They are spamming every aviation website and I for one am tiring of it.......
LOL...yeah, spam certainly isn't free speech. However, I'll keep it up a bit longer to get additional comments from our members.
I had no idea it stunk. Someone's one person marketing/spam campaign suggested otherwise...

Let's see, so according to the author of this thread, this movie quote, "Finally got it right"
So then flight attendants smuggle drugs from other countries, steal alcohol from the company, and our major goal in life is to "land" a captain?
This movie has a few interesting moments, but what it mostly does is reinforce stereotypical labels that went out with regulation.

I am not spamming this movie. I found out about it on this site. Furthermore, I don't think the movie "stank." I was quite impressed with it. I don't think it's going to get an oscar but I do think it's worth a view. The tone of this thread has turned me off a bit as a new member. I figured this would be a place that encourages and supports FA's not bashes the people excited about our world. If you haven't seen the movie, here it an objective review : http://anvilandsprocket.com/review.php?rec=177
If you like it great, if not - fine. Just remember, the greatest thing about the flight attendant work group is that we support one another.

I did order the movie. And like I said, it did have some interesting moments.
What I objected to was, "They finally got it right".
As a professional, I objected to the stereotypical tone the movie projected.
I support my fellow flight attendants.
Bravo to the author of this movie. As the wife of a member of the entertainment industry, I know it takes alot of blood, sweat, and tears to even finish a script, let alone shoot, print and market it.
But lets just take this movie as it is.....Entertainment.
And if you do want to market something on this site, I think it would be appropriate to throw a little something in the kitty....
