Please take a moment and fill out this survey!

Here is a portion of an email I had gotten. Please read and do the survey.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have been getting many calls and words of thanks for the data compiled from the spring FA survey. I want to thank everyone for their input. I also want to mention that a NEW and IMPROVED survey is now available and ready for your updates at: <www.crewsupport.com>.

While many of the questions are the same, there are several, more detailed questions that will provide new and much broader information for the Flight Attendant community. Your participation is, and will be in the future, very much appreciated by the industry.

To have the latest job, pay, and duty information available for full-time and contract Flight Attendants will benefit us all.

Please spread the word... We need as much input as possible... The information will be made available to all who provide input.

I again emphasize that your personal information will be 100% Confidential and WILL NOT be used for ANY marketing purposes!

Please provide your input at: www.crewsupport.com ....... Tell your co-workers!

Thanks,
Doug

This email solicits our information, but I still have not seen the responses from the last survey I answered for this same company.

I did not participate in last years' surveys, but the information is not easily accessed on NBAA (I have a valid password for my company, but it does not work).

So, what is the info regarding salaries and other stats?

Folks

This survey is not being done by the NBAA. If you were at the FA Conference in ATL this year you would have heard that the NBAA only supports their CORE membership when it comes to industry Salary suggestions. Doug is taking the steps to help get OUR info out into the system so we can be treated EQUAL with the other aviation positions in the corporate industry.

If you want to see last years survey go to "www.crewsupport.com/surveyresults.html" This is NO PASSWORDS needed. IF you still have a problem seeing these results please email me directly "DSlapo@aol.com".

Thanks.

I am relieved that the survey has been repaired to reflect omitted training companies. Still not sure why the NBAA is not sponsoring the survey. They do it for pilots!!

Dear BB,

That is a great question and I would like to give you a quote from Jay Evens, NBAA Rep, which he made at the FA conference in ATL this year. I hope I have this right!

NBAA is here for the CORE membership

I met with Jay after that statement and he went into a bit deeper explanation and told me that even though the flight attendant community is a part of the NBAA organization the NBAA is primarily there for the Owner/Operators.

From there you can fill in the blanks of what he is saying. The other thing is until the FAA makes changes where a FA is required on every plane (NOT GOING TO HAPPEN FOR PRIVATE TRANSPORT i.e. family owned planes) we will be classed as a second rate person.

I do have to give the NBAA credit as it has taken BIG steps to help the flight attendant community to become a face not just another name or body. It has taken 10 years of hard work from people like Susan Friedenberg, Beau Altman (a few names but MANY more to add) to get this far in who we are and how the industry treats us.

As I have been told many of times (Thanks Amy) “ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY!” So one step at a time and only hope we can continue to move forward in our GOAL of being recognized as PROFESSIONALS.

Yes, this statement is true. It would be "nice" if companies would fully understand that their success depends on their people. The NBAA has a tremendous opportunity -- and responsibility -- to help shape regulations and policy. Sometimes I feel as if they would prefer to side step the delicate issues.

I hope everyone is having a good summer either with their time off or flying. If you have not done this survey PLEASE do so. It takes only a few seconds and it is over with.

This company is NOT selling anything or going to sell your info you put on the survey!!

Thanks for your time.
