Think smart

Above all, pay attention. Some interviewees will ask a question & not recall that the answer had already been given. Thoughtful questions related to cabin service, catering, and evacuation procedures...

You could try Flightworks as they are in the ATL area. I do not know if they are hiring at the moment, but you could send in your resume:

Sir/Mister

I agree with Kathy. First name when alone, formal name when others are present. Can you imagine what others would say if you gave "Dave" a friendly greeting? If you cannot then read Shore Leave's...

Stock your wine

Does your chief pilot return unused jet fuel? Of course not. Having wine on hand is part of doing business. What cannot be passed to the customer as a cost should be held on-site as inventory. A few...

With wine prices so competitive these days it isn't difficult to find a very good wine for under $20.

Some charter depts. carry a list of 6-8 wines available for stock. These are considered...

Holding a British passport gives you the right to work across the European Community. I am not sure if you can position yourself in Switzerland or if you must be based in the U.K. It seems that the...

Handling reporters

Thank you for the link Ingrid.

Ingrid's tone is understandable. I am not sure how many people here fully grasp the damage done by blabbermouths in this industry? I am not talking about...

Always keep your receipts

You may want to consult an accountant the first time that you do your taxes as what you can deduct is always subject to change. I agree with everyone else about the "uniforms" too. If you can wear it...

NY Daily News

Our homegrown paparazzi is nothing compared to what is going on in Europe & Crowe is lucky that the story hasn't done much beyond the Daily News. I have seen their type stake out the south end of the...

If I was just...

I would think that this would be difficult to measure. Unlike with the airlines, where everything is a bit more uniform business aviation is diversified.

I do know that most of my friends are...
