Default Box lunches at the airport

I dont get to the commercial side of the airport that often, and more rarley (sp?) past security, but I have always been baffled by the lack of ready-made, carry-on food choices for passengers.
It seems to me that to have a take-away that specializes in exec box lunches would be a big hit. No one is serving food anymore on board.

Default I like Subway

I agree with Gloria. The airport rent would be awful and their prices sky high. Just stop in Hudson News and you will see what I mean.

My cousins flew in to visit me last month and they hit the Subway drive-thru before going to the airport. Better food and good prices worked well for them.

Default Lunch Boxes

I have a seen a couple of places that offer what they would consider "gourmet Lunch Boxes" one is in the Atlanta airport but I dont see anything great about em. Plus, I saw some of the new low cost airlines are saying no outside food or drinks are allowed to brought onto the plane...that way they can sell you a coke and sandwich. Craziness.

Default Box lunches

I had my million dollar idea when I was sitting in DC waiting for a plane on a very rainy day...

couldn't just get up and go get something to eat without dragging my
c r a p along.. When I did the lines went at least 20 people ( not to mention their families .. that have to stand there with them or go get the othre family mambers orders!! ensuring that i would be there at least a good 45 min. .. and of course the a/c "may" arrive and then I on't be ther to get my now "stand by" flight.
So I thought ! " BRAINSTORM"! How about a rolling cart with water and snacks .. I would have made the purchase!!!
Oh well it still hasn't taken off .. much like the airplane I was "supposed" to be on!!
Damn commercial airlines!!!
