Hi Cloudchaser,

For next time.....If you fly into Opa Locka, the Courtyard Miami Lakes is a good hotel. Miami Lakes is a nicer area then around the Int'l airport. North about 15 minutes is the Courtyard Miramar. They also sometimes give the travel rate if you ask for the Miami Executive rate. Sometimes it is available. New Horizons caterer will get you great Media Noche cuban sandwiches. I havent had them make a full cuban meal but if you tell them exactly what you want they are very good. Calle Ocho, is an area of Miami that has some fantastic Cuban restaurants and bakeries. Also, bring 2 thermoses and on the way to the airport stop and get cafe cubano in one and steamed milk in the other. The Dunkin Donuts in Miami Lakes will do it for you. There are a bunch of other places too, but I cant think of the names. Therre are also liquor stores in the area where you can get a good Spanish Rioja at a decent price.

If you fly into Miami Intl, try not to stay at the Full service Marriott right at the hotel. There is the Doral Marriott and another one south of the airport near a really big mall, I cant think of that name either, but if you need it I will get it for you. Those arent as busy and the service is much better. The longer drive is a pain when you are tired or there is alot of traffic, but it is worth it. The traffic is a pain!

Best of luck,

Falcon FA
